 Beauty of workplace Politics, Volume I

Inevitable & very intrusive in nature, but very important for those who are straight forward & believe in getting better than themselves over being better than others. 

You don't have to bash at those who plot games against you, watch it with awe & you will find it so obvious & when you start to see it through, you will find their games to be entertaining, thrilling & enlightening!

Don't get carried away, don't get bothered & most importantly don't worry to strike back, just be a patient observer & they will drop plenty of opportunities right into your lap.

Do consider the following beautiful aspects of workplace politics so that it can be turned into advantage for yourself, your choice to play with it or not doesn't matter, so either you can choose to enjoy while following the predictable bumpy ride or you can continue to get played with it & remain stuck on a emotional & intellectual rollercoaster:

A) Be clear that at any given point in time a politician is always going to remain a politician, so don't fall for their words, instead watch what they do & you will realize it all. Especially when you hear praises for yourself do not get carried away, it's their way to corrupt your reasoning, they hardly mean anything in particular if it is good about someone from whom they are not going to get benefited. So remain alert on every aspect of your interactions.

B) Your first thought is the most profound & important thought, that gives away the accurate course of action or reaction, but then immediately take a pause & evaluate if what you want to say or do is in the line of being straight forward & genuine, hold it please, do not let go the opportunity by doing so, instead say exactly opposite to what you have realized.

i.e. if someone (the subject that is always playing politics around you) is dressing nice, find out some lapses in their dressing & do mention it to them, opposite to it if they are dressed poorly then mention it in front of everyone else how elegant they are today.

C) During any group discussion, if they are recommending something that is in the benefit of the business bottom line but it might be hurting individual interests, then do not fail to mention it to those who are at the receiving end about the one who recommended it in the first place. Do not contest it when it is being discussed, let the ball roll & their head as well in front of those who are going to get impacted.

D) Corrupt everyone around, this alone will be taken as a entire topic later, but in summary what it means is, let there be no discipline being practiced from your desk, let everyone slack as much as they can & want, do not demand for any reports, do not follow up on failing aspects of anyone working under you, keep everyone happy with your being so cool, charming, understanding of their personal expectations, if they are watching porn with office wifi & system under chilling AC let them, if they are doing insta gram & tiktok let them, if they are stealing one or another thing let them, if they are collecting commission from the suppliers & vendors let them, if they are presenting fake invoices let them, let anyone & everyone continue to do what they feel like doing & even if your discover it, learn about it DO NOT try to intervene or stop it, by doing so you are slowly letting them slip into their own graves that were being dug deeper & deeper by themselves.

E) Out of their 10 suggestions or recommendations, 8 could be to win the trust of everyone around, but the remaining 2 can be so treacherous in nature that it can cause losses to the business 800 times over to those 8 popular recommendations they must have made earlier to win trust. Just keep a close watch once again on their suggestions & recommendations so that such plots can be unearthed.

F) Look for those peers or colleagues around who have been victim of their games, use them as bait to form a defensive mechanism for any future plots.

G) If possible place a watchdog over them, in professional life as well as personal life, watch what they are doing, whom they are meeting, where are they going, so that as & when opportunity is presented to assassinate their character you have enough evidence to do so.

H) Corrupt everyone around them, be it their drivers, domestic help, watchman, close associates so that you can keep getting information on everything & anything they are doing with their personal as well as professional life. While you can also keep all of them under constant conflict with the person.

I) Let their close associates working in trust & confidence with them do recording of the conversation they are having, use their emotional state to let them trigger into sharing their mental state & health or financial challenges, so that it can be used against them as & when needed.

J) If you learn about any good gesture they have shown towards someone, immediately trigger the beneficiary of that good gesture to renounce it & rather than being grateful they may even become vengeful towards them.

K) Whenever you get an opportunity in the midst of a group of people, find out those that they are feeling insecure about, encourage their opponents & motivate them in their presence, eventually triggering both of them against each other and then watch the cat & dog fight with pleasure.

L) Continue to play victim in front of everyone as such that everyone will keep coming to your rescue, keep you in lime light & leaving the rest unimportant.

M) Recommend for hypothetical increments & promotions so that when it is not accepted or approved, you can claim that you did your best but they did not accept it.

N) Keep a very cordial & close relationship with their opponents, the ones holding other offices that you know have a difficult relationship with them, in fact you can even get good details & information beforehand about coordination between their offices & you can guide or even dictate terms on how they must respond or reply to them.

O) Most importantly never get into direct confrontation with them irrespectively, in order to keep reading their moves & methods it is important that you always remain a close ally to them on the surface, always smile on their face & let everyone else have that first impression that you both are lovey dovely.

Above all believe in yourself, keep asking this question that why are they so busy playing games against you? 

And the answer you will find by yourself won't actually surprise you

4) Your vision is filled with WISDOM

5) Your VALUES are unfathomable

6) Your strategies are always in the interest of the business

7) Your creative solutions are always out the box

8) Your deliverables reflect the ownership you carry in your work

9) Your coordination & cooperation continues to fetch desirable results for the business

10) Your thinking, learning & unlearning skills are top notch at every given point in time.

So why do you think that you must be the only one who can continue to enjoy the natural flow of energies towards you, when your light cannot be dimmed, it has to be shattered of stolen by everything other than getting better than you in either of these aspects & that needs unethical & immoral plots.

You are not the only one on this planet who might be subjected to such work place politics, but it is how you look at it that matters, more to continue in Volume II.
