Legacy - All that we do & choose not to, becomes an inevitable Legacy!!!

The most desirable topic for the 50th blog, Legacy Indeed.

One of the meanings of Legacy according to a popular search engine:
The definition of “Legacy” is something that is passed on. But Legacy can take many forms. A Legacy may be of one's faith, ethics and core values… A Legacy may be monetary or your assets… A Legacy may come from one's character, reputation and the life you lead – setting an example for others and to guide their futures.

And most popularly it is believed that whatever one achieves, does & attains in their personal & professional life tends to become their Legacy.
But we are here as always to ponder on the odds, yes indeed all that we do & get success, gain, achieve & attain will always become a Legacy, what we have never been told that again all that we don't do when it was needed to be done, the decisions that we were meant to take, the actions that were inevitable to be taken but were not taken, also goes ahead to become part of the same Legacy.

So yes all that we do is going to become a Legacy & so does all that we could have done but we did not is also a Legacy.

What are the acts that may lead to becoming a Legacy?
A) Any act by someone where they had to get out of their comfort zone.
B) Any action that demanded them to sacrifice their time.
C) Every effort that demanded to invest resources beyond its availability.
D) An result that was achieved with persistent hard work.
E) All the achievements that would have been earned with sincere dedication.
F) Every time when they must have displayed Compassion.
G) The maturity they must have shown in letting go & forgiving.
I) The Community service they continue to deliberate upon.
J) Welfare responsibilities for their near & dear ones.
K) How often they were able to stand by their words & how often their words matched to their own actions.

And so on, acts of bravery during anarchy, acts of solidarity during catastrophes, acts of kindness & generosity during adversities.

All of it & more can be remembered for generations to come when more than just a few individuals benefited out of such selfless acts.

More importantly there is also a Legacy being formed unknowingly when one does the following: (And yes you will be remembered for a long time for putting up all these)
A) When their words do not match with their actions.
B) Where all of their thoughts & actions are teasing of their self centeredness.
C) To keep getting benefited, they don't mind throwing anyone & everyone under the bus.
D) When one lies about anything & everything possible to keep themselves out of the accountability of their own actions.
E) When someone is looking to fix blames on others for the consequences of their own doings.
F) When they have been given ample opportunities to correct their perceptions, mistakes & habits & yet they continue to repeat them.
G) When they have been gifted with abundance & yet they consciously choose not to deploy them judicially.
H) When they are blessed with good people around that are accommodating & motivating, but they instead get mean with them.
I) When someone is consciously & subconsciously building contacts & relationships only to benefit from them in one or another ways.
J) When they practice hypocrisy, unapologetically, they can do A for someone & deny of having any A for others who are more deserving.
K) When they are invincible, never wrong, unteachable, unremorseful, ungrateful, thankless, decisive, untrustworthy & so on.

Yes all these when being experienced by the people at some point in time when they interact with them will become a memory, so no matter how smiling one may be on face, how carrying they may appear, when either of these above aspects are experienced then they will be registered with a negative impression & image than will continue to live on for longer than it may seem.

How you made someone feel, with your words, actions, inactions & intentions is a Legacy you are forming.

And do not fail to act when it is needed & expected.

Putting up any act when you are comfortable & convenient about it, is going to become an legacy that you wont want to be remembered for.

HURT NOT, CONSCIOUSLY OR EVEN SUBCONSCIOUSLY, the only LEGACY worth leaving behind!

Happy Valentines Day, 2024

Human beings are more complex in the nature than they seems to be with their biological structure. The basic nature is seeking to be loved. But given the conditioning we mostly seek half understood love, that is attention, appreciation, acknowledgement, applauds and so on. Our every action is derived out of seeking these love, we want to be loved as we are with what we do and that which we cannot do. We seek fatherly love whereby we don't expect someone to correct us before hand, but yet expect that he should keep watching our back. We seek motherly love whereby we don't want to be reminded on anything that we may have taken it for granted, yet expect that she should be around us taking care for our every needs. We seek love of siblings, whereby we see a friend in whom we can confine and can share all of our secrets without fear of being betrayed. And than we seek love from our spouse. This is very different from the love that we seek from our blood relatives. Along the line ...
